Loved Clothes Last

Our clothes are victims of our throw-away culture and we’ve fallen out of love with them. It’s time to get a little bit romantic with our robes….

Fashion Revolution’s #lovedclotheslast campaign explores the issue of waste and mass-consumption in the fashion industry, hoping to inspire you to buy less, care more, and know how to make the clothes you love last longer.

The ways in which we can minimise waste and maximise the lifespan of our garments are endless. We can invest in better quality garments made of strong and sustainable materials and we can make sure we following the care instructions correctly.

We can repair old clothes that need a little stitch or we can transform them into something else, something better, even more unique and precious. There are plenty of tricks to keep our clothes loved for longer, but possibly the greatest change can come from within.

Fast Fashion has conditioned us to lose the sentimentality we once held with what we wear. We used to fall in love with our clothes and now many of them are lustless after one date.

Mindless Mag wants you to rekindle your love for your special items. We want you to stop seeing them as throwaway threads that are only good for one Instagram selfie before they’re left to dwindle in the bottom of your wardrobe.

It could be the faded pink sweater you ‘borrowed’ from your love, or the straight leg, frayed jeans you got in that vintage shop which you will never be able to replace. Clothes don’t have to cost the earth to steal our hearts; sometimes all it takes is a memory.
